What a year! Quanterall 2022 Recap
As we move into 2023, countless opportunities exist
2022 is coming to close and Quanterall reviews the year’s many high points, big accomplishments, overcoming challenges in undoubtedly challenging times, and forward momentum into the following year.
During 2022 we have collaborated with companies of various sizes and industries to develop together software solutions that solve particular problems. Here are some of our projects:
SAP — Compatible environment for SAP HANA Extended Application Services (XS) based applications.
Triton — AI platform that offers a highly-needed solution for investors.
Web Finance Direct — A platform that helps clients with leasing financing.
Bosch — Updates of internal ERP services.
BillRun — Filtering and routing of telecom packets.
As an R&D lab, Quanterall invested heavily in experimentation with various cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, throughout a year of success and hard work, our focus was also on Quanterall Academy.
Let’s recap the significant milestones we achieved throughout 2022:
AVERATO
Our product, AVERATO, is a platform integrating IoT devices, points of sale, mobile payments, and blockchain.
The project is becoming a hub for virtual points of sale, parking barriers, and vending to which you can pay with fiat and crypto.
We improved payments by introducing new features including prepaid vouchers and invoices throughout 2022.
Additionally, we soft-launched the product and welcomed the first merchants. Several places in Varna and Sofia, including a beer bar, brunch spot, grocery store, and coffee stores, were welcomed into the AVERATO ecosystem.
Now we are putting our attention into getting ready for the official launch which will be early next year.
GenHub
GenHub is a platform for the management and comparison of human genomic data designed for clinical laboratories and medical genomics companies.
The foundation of this project is to solve the huge challenge that clinical and research teams must deal with: To efficiently browse and compare patients’ data, where the pool of information comes from multiple files and sources.
As soon as the concept was developed, the focus shifted to design and branding, then on solving technological challenges, and finally to implementing further close to an MVP.
We succeeded in obtaining validation and attracting attention from people in the industry and were chosen to compete in the Startup World Cup for Bulgaria.
In the next year, we are confident that we will manage to conduct testing in a real environment, attract funding and implement additional useful modules and functionalities.
Quanterall Academy
We had a few, but extremely significant and successful goals for 2022:
The initial step involved educating and preparing 20 juniors to join Quanterall and work with the technologies relevant to the company: Functional Programming, Blockchain, and Bioinformatics.
The second was to launch our first external course, Functional Programming with Haskell.
More than 250 candidates applied for our internship programs. Subsequently, we organized 4 internship groups, and 3 of them have already graduated. Now we’re pleased to have 22 interns join Quanterall as juniors.
We organized a Haskell basics course that attracted participants from 3 continents. Additionally, we organized a DeFi course together with Motion Software and WeiChain. Our goal was to join forces and spread knowledge, giving more value to the DeFi scene in Bulgaria.
Furthermore, we‘ve added new partners to our network of educational institutions — The High School of Mathematics “D-r Petar Beron” Varna, and the new IT High School — Varna.
Along with that, we supported Europe Code Week in 2 high schools as well as 2 programming Olympiads.
Some of the Academy’s goals for 2023 are to Improve the computer programming courses and to spread knowledge outside the organisation.
BlackSeaChain
On 1 and 2 September Quanterall gathered the local blockchain ecosystem for a two-day event at the International Hotel in Golden Sands, Bulgaria.
BlackSeaChain welcomed 44 speakers and 320 attendees and hosted 2 stages dedicated to creating understanding between the business needs and blockchain technology while showing best practices and presenting great solutions to current problems. It also set several discussions around regulations, investments, and legal frameworks. All of this combined with two great parties and quality networking made the event a real success.

EU Projects
At the beginning of 2022 we had a clear mind of our objectives in terms of European Projects:
Finding Open calls, events, and opportunities in the fields of IoT, Bioinformatics, and Blockchain.
Our goal was to foster creativity and participation of Quanterall, Quanterall Smart Clothing, and Quanterall Academy in the above fields.
So, throughout the year we managed to participate in different Open Calls and prestigious international programs like:
Horizon Europe — EU’s key €95.5 billion funding program for research and innovation.
Two projects were submitted: TechUPGRADE, with Quanterall as a Partner, and AVERATO Park, approved under Horizon 2020 “Next Generation IoT as part of Next Generation Internet”.
Meanwhile, we are already looking forward to 2023 and the next goals:
- Participation in Project Catalyst with Cardano sidechain payment system.
- Development of the funded projects TechUPGRADE and AVERATO Park.

It was an eventful year

Technology advancements are breaking barriers every single second. It has become essential for all entrepreneurs, marketers, business leaders, and tech enthusiasts to keep up with the blistering technology landscape that helps them scale their businesses to greater heights.
In 2022, the events that enabled us to accomplish our objective of remaining at the forefront of the tech industry are the following:
- Web3 Dev meetup — the event that gathered Bulgaria’s most well-known professionals in Blockchain and Web3 fields.
- Dutch Blockchain Week — a week-long event in the Netherlands that hosted events with various focuses and topics.
- WebSummit — one of the biggest names in tech came together in Lisbon, Portugal for 3 days.
- Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC — a strategic platform that brought together the ecosystem of players and stakeholders for networking and knowledge transfer opportunities for business success.
- FinX Conference 2022- the first event of its kind focused on investments and cutting-edge financial technology.
- Fundamental Library Conference 2022 — a one-day virtual tech conference hosted by SAP that features industry leaders in the fields of front-end development, accessibility, and UI and UX design.
- OpenFest Bulgaria — an annual conference, and celebration of admirers, creators, and supporters of open-source software in Bulgaria.
- BlackSeaChain — a two-day educational and networking event that brought together blockchain tech and business projects and professionals.
- Technovation 2022 — a tech event with many interesting professionals from the Cyber, Tech, and IoT industries.
- The 1 st China-CEEC Conference on Technology Cooperation and Exchange

In summary, Quanterall had a successful and exciting year in 2022. Being able to realize that all of the efforts were worthwhile is satisfying.
